This, well, technically not this, was my AS coursework piece for Music Technology, where we had to create a version of a song (in this case, I'm No Angel by Dido) in a different genre. The genre I chose was 80's Rock. If you can find any 80's rock in here, please let me know. =]. This isn't the one I sent though, this is an updated version using Guitar Pro 6 (I used Guitar Pro 5 for the coursework piece). Just so you know where you are, here's the different sections of the song, dude (* means lyrics are there, with the beginning of the lines next to it). 0:00 - Intro. 0:31 - Verse* (If I had a coin. ). 0:43 - VariVerse* (I know I'm not perfect. ). 0:55 - Verse* (If you tell me that I can't. ). 1:07 - VariVerse* (I know I can be afraid. ). 1:19 - Chorus* (I'm no angel. ). 1:43 - Chorus Rhythm* (uses the last line of the chorus). 1:55 - Solo. 2:07 - Outro. For some reason, the outro is about fifty seconds long, while the intro is thirty one. hmmmm, how peculiar. I should apologize for the solo, it was the first one I've ever wrote, and yeah. that explains it. I want to use this in an album (if I ever actually start a band and make albums, like), though the solo would have to be changed. lovely. Not only that, the outro seems to fade out too quickly. no idea why though. Another thing is that the synth doesn't sound what I wanted, it should've sounded more like the sawtooth sound on keyboards. ah well. Anyroad, please let me know what you think like. =].Comment by Burt4
I have to say, this sounds really good haha. Sounds like a theme tune for Sonic The Hedgehog to me.

Get information about bachelor’s degree programs in music technology and their education requirements, coursework, career choices, job and wage outlook, and continuing education choices.Information on Music Technology Program
Students enrolled in a major focusing on music technology are trained to operate the latest applications used to record, produce, perform, and compose. Students take four years to earn a bachelors degree in music technology by studying music theory and history topics and undergoing additional aural and instrumental training. Performance opportunities are available through the form of periodic recitals, ensembles, and concerts that allow students to display their skills and knowledge.
They can use this knowledge in many fields, including therapy, education, and entertainment industries. Students enrolled in many programs are required to have a background in music; some tests may have to be taken by students before they are allowed admittance to the program.Education Requirements
Although schools don’t insist on a background in technology for this major, students are expected to possess a firm understanding of a variety of forms of music. Once they apply for admission to the school, incoming students are required to pass some music-related exams in instrument playing, hearing proficiency, singing, and sight-reading.Coursework
Students enrolled in many bachelor’s degree programs in music technology are allowed to tailor their coursework to allow them to demonstrate their strengths and be able to work on their weaknesses. Students learn the use of formatting applications, composition software, and editing and producing tools. They can also expand their knowledge through participation in other fields. Music technology classes may commonly include subject areas such as:
•Study of sound
•Recording technology and methods
The production side of the industry is often the focus of careers in music technology. Music technology graduates are trained in the use of machinery and equipment in recording, mixing, and synchronizing sound effects and music. They may commonly seek job titles such as:
•Sound engineering technician
Over the 2012 – 2022 decade, little to no progress in the job growth rate has been predicted for sound engineering technicians (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics). In May 2012, these professionals brought in an average annual wage of $41,200 (BLS).Continuing Education Choices
Those who complete the bachelor’s program may seek continuing education through enrollment in a master’s or doctoral degree program. A master’s degree focuses on designing and developing software programs and equipment; a doctoral degree often leads to careers in academia and research.
Students who wish to involve themselves in music, but are also looking for a new career choice may seek certificate or graduate programs in business management or music therapy, including the proper prerequisite courses. Music therapy involves using music in improving or maintaining mental health, and armed with business management education, students may choose to start their music software business or company.
